So i dont really know what this blog thing is but just lettin everyone know that this summer was awesome here in california for boardin. This is my second year riding and i cant seem to stop, this sport is so addicting.
Unfortunately no, I haven't been out since September. With the holidays fast approaching it might be a while before I get to go out again. So did you injure yourself wakeboarding? The though has crossed my mind "how bad can I injure myself doing this"? I always think "it's only water", but I know people get hurt. I strained my Achilles tendon once and that was painful for a few months. I have even thought about wearing a helmet but I hate helmets.
So I have some winter upgrade projects planned for my boat. I am going to install a ballast system, it should hold up to 680 lbs of water with the flick of a switch. I just ordered a Perfect Pass system to make it easier for my guests to drive when I am getting pulled. I think it will be fun installing all of these gadgets, but it will take some time. If only I didn’t need to work and pay bills, then I would have plenty of time.
I am thinking the first Saturday in November if the weather is good. Do you have any friends brave enough to go with us? My friends are all afraid of the cold watter. Are you available?
Hey Adam, I was going to go to Folsom Lake but its very choppy on the weekends and the water is so low it's a challenge to launch a boat. Trough September I have been going to the north end of the Sacramento River just a few miles below where the Feather River connects. It’s a pretty good spot even on the weekends it’s pretty flat. Let me know where your favorite spot is, I am always on the look out for some close flat water. I was checking out your videos, you are a much better wakeboarder than I am. I just got to the point where I can do a board grab. I am a fairly old guy for this sport at 36, but it’s in my blood and I am trying to get better and learn new things. It’s raining here in Sac and there is more rain in the forecast. Have you ever been wakeboarding in the winter time? Do you where a we suit? I have never actually been in the winter time but I would sure be willing to go if its at least sunny.
