I am new to the Seattle area so I have no idea where the nearest place is to go wakeboarding. I am actually new to wakeboarding and just started of with a couple of basic lessons last summer but I really enjoyed the sport would love to continue down the path of wakeboard enlightenment this year!! Lessons are ok but as with most sports it is the time spent doing it that really makes the difference.
I am from the UK but am working over here for a few months and need something active to fill my weekends with.
So where are the best (and hopefully cheapest :-p) lakes to ride on. I would also need somewhere where I can hire the kit. Any suggestions?
One of the great things about Seattle is how many board manufacturers there are. There is Hyperlight, Ronix, O'Brien and more I'm sure. Lot's of great industry leaders for sure.
Hey, I got a wakeboard school in Spokane, but I ride alot in seattle, and their is alot of guys over there. One is Eddie Roberts ( he's with Ronix) 425-443-3060 and the other guys are with NWR (northwest riders). You can look them up online, they have a huge clinic and school, they're an awesome cerw of guys.
Check out www.bowlakewatersports.com it's closer to Bellingham but most of the people that go there are from the Seattle area. Everything from drop in sets, Bed and Breakfast weekends to 4 Day Camps.
I will talk to the guys at Wakeboard NW and check out bow lake. I guess I want to try and make a day of it with out it costing the earth ( my company is really mean and doesn't pay me much :-( ). So I am not sure a few passes will be enough for day trip to anywhere.
Anyway, thanks again!! If you have any other suggestions please don't hold back........
yo cool fool.hit me up ill take you ridin for the typical bro hook up. e-mail me. Im on the east side and ride lkwashington and sam all the time. mostly surf but wil definatly pull the boarders.
Yeah, hit me up if you want. I will start riding weekdays 7am-11am soon... But if not I know MasterCraft Seattle/lake sports starts weekly lessons here soon too. My roomate Eddie is the guy to talk to.. like Ricky Said. Right now I go on weekends and such(since there are never too many boats yet). I'd also check the discussion forums on www.wakeworld.com as well. The're always people looking for 3rds on there in the seattle area. Also, if you want your own private lake with rails and rad coaches, then Bow Lake is where it's at!
